After a few months in Helsinki, I’m surprised by some of the things I miss about New York, such as numbered streets and avenues, fire escapes, and people wandering into traffic. The good people at the Architectural League of New York’s Urban Omnibus were kind enough to publish my reminiscences here as part of their new ‘Writing the City’ series.
