Olly F’s backgammon board

Summertime came to Helsinki last week with big sun and a 75º heatwave. It’s over now, but I still have a fantastic sunburn from sitting by the sea and playing backgammon, which is my new favorite thing to do. Horace Andy – Skylarking
from Skylarking. Studio One, 1970
A brilliant track for your summertime sound system, first recorded when Andy was only nineteen. And in the midst of releasing thirty-something albums, he also found time to collaborate with Massive Attack and Mad Professor.

Slowdive – When the Sun Hits
from Souvlaki. Creation, 1993 | buy mp3s
A dazzling burst of moody dream pop.
